Ross Clarke-Jones competes annually in the Quiksilver Eddie Aikau Big Wave Contest at Waimea Bay with a minimum surf of 20 to 25 feet. He became the first non-Hawaiian to win the Eddie title in 2000-01. Ross Clarke-Jones surfs all over the world including in Hawaii, California, Australia, Tasmania, Europe, and South Africa.
