As of February 2013 Naruto has sold more than 130 million copies in Japan. In addition to Naruto manga he helped make the film Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie. His first manga work was Karakuri in 1995. Kishimoto has released five Naruto guides including First-Third Official Data Books, The Official Fan book, and The Official Premium Fan book. He has also released three Naruto art books and three Naruto novels. He worked as a character designer and scenario writer for Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie in 2012 and was also a guest character designer in 2009 for Tekken 6.
