30 Year Old Twitch Co Founder Kyle Vogt Purchases 2016 S Most Expensive San Francisco Home
Despite the fact that the $21.8 million sale makes Vogt’s new home the most expensive of the year in the notoriously pricey city, it was actually something of a bargain. Its original listing price back in November 2015 was $28 million, and this summer it was reduced to $25 million before ultimately being sold to Vogt for almost $22 million.
As for the house itself, it’s – as you might imagine – a pretty impressive spread, worthy of its new position as San Francisco’s most expensive home sale of 2016. It was constructed in 1901 and has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms distributed throughout three floors and 9,095 square feet, situated on one of the highest streets in SF and with all of the incredible views that entails. It’s been the subject of an extensive, two-year restoration to bring it back to its early 20th-century glory days, and has also been completely redone and modernized as a single-family home in the inside following 50 years of existence as an apartment building. The house features such luxuries as all-marble bathrooms, his-and-her dressing rooms, giant Cinemascope glass windows accentuating those aforementioned San Francisco views, a beautiful wood spiral staircase (and elevator), imported Italian furniture, a top-floor spa room and roof deck, and much more.
